Health Insurance Carrier & Implementation <br /> We have resolved the majority of the details related to the ehange to Blue <br /> Cross Blue Shield as our health insurance carrier beginning April 1 >t. <br /> 2, Lon!!- Term Disability (L TO) Insurance <br /> Beginning April I >t, the L TD insuranee with Fortis has now been put into <br /> place. The final paperwork was resolved this past week. <br /> - 3. Life Insurance <br /> Staff has had several more meetings with carriers regarding the proposed <br /> life insuranee. <br /> 4, Staff Vacancies <br /> - Staff has completed revisions to the Senior Accounting Clerk and <br /> Department Seeretary positions, and begun advertising for these positions. <br /> In addition, staff has completed analysis of all existing positions, and has <br /> recommended some restructuring. <br /> e, Public Works/Safety <br /> 1. Road Turnbacks <br /> Staff has continued to work with Ramsey County on the turnback of <br /> County Roads, including Stowe Avenue, Lake Johanna Boulevard, New <br /> Brighton Road and Cleveland A venue. Staff is trying to resolve Stowe <br /> A venue in order to proceed with the reconstruction of the road. Staff is <br /> also looking at options for Lake Johanna Boulevard and New Brighton <br /> Road as directed by the City CounciL <br /> 2. Midwest Asphalt Litigation <br /> A settlement hearing was attended by staff this month. Midwest has <br /> responded to the City's proposal. A conference was held on Friday, April <br /> 24th to discuss the response, and staff is preparing for an executive session <br /> with the City Council. <br /> BF /sls <br /> - <br />
