<br /> ~ <br /> . <br /> Administrator Comments for the April 24, 1998 Council Meeting - <br /> Page Four <br /> April 24, 1998 <br /> c, Community Development <br /> 1. 1369 Forest Lane Abatement <br /> The City Administrator and Building Official attended court proceedings <br /> in the City's efforts to abate the problems at 1369 Forest Lane that were <br /> causcd by fire this past year. The court has ruled in the City's favor and <br /> the property owner has until mid-August to resolve the problems. <br /> 2. Gateway Business District (GBD) <br /> Staff continues to monitor minor issues related to this development <br /> project, including discussions with Naegele, Vaughan, ATS Steel, Ms. <br /> - Rademacher, and neighboring residents. The project is moving along with <br /> Welsh closing this week on its next phase of the project. In addition, the <br /> Public Works staff continues to monitor road construction and <br /> infrastructure activities. <br /> 3. TCAAP - <br /> A. U of M Traffic Studv. Shorcview Meetings <br /> Staff has met with City of Shore view officials and engineers to <br /> discuss Arden Hills' concerns related to the development ofthe U <br /> ofM property. We are now reviewing the EA W to determine if <br /> comment is appropriate. To-date, our primary concern is the lack <br /> of recognition by Shoreview traffic engineers that TCAAP will <br /> generate some future traffic that will utilize County Road I. <br /> B, Retrocession Reauest <br /> The City has received a request to comment on the request to <br /> retrocede the remaining 2,180 acres at the arsenal. Staff will now <br /> begin analyzing the impact of this request, and begin formalization <br /> of a response. <br /> C. \Vater and Sewer <br /> TCAAP officials have requested City consideration of taking <br /> ownership of the water and sewer systems at TCAAP. The City <br /> Council has asked staff to analyze this further and report back at a <br /> future meeting. <br /> - <br />
