New Citv Hall <br /> Staff met with the architcct to gct back on track with the design for the <br /> new facility. We'll keep on meeting on a regular basis, and put together a <br /> schedule for review of the plans by the City Council and Planning <br /> Commission. <br /> 3. Community Representations <br /> As City Administrator, I've attended a variety of meetings representing the <br /> City this past month. Among others, these have included Ramsey County <br /> Sheriffs Contract Group, Community Leaders, School District/City <br /> Managers, Planning Commission/Comprehensive Plan Update, and <br /> MCMA. <br /> 4. Finance Department <br /> The external auditors, Abdo Abdo Eick & Meyers, completed their <br /> fieldwork in conjunction with the examination for the year ended . <br /> December 31, 1997 on May 15, 1998. They expect to present the audit <br /> findings at the June 8, 1998 Council meeting. Preliminary operating <br /> results and fund balance information was included with this week's non- <br /> agenda packet. <br /> Accounting and Public Works personnel were trained last week by factory <br /> representatives in the use of the Badger Meter Trace Software. This <br /> software provides a temporary database link between the Banyon Utility <br /> Billing system and the Personal Interrogator (PI) for uploading and <br /> downloading of meter consumption files. <br /> . <br />b. Committee Updates <br /> The City Administrator and Accountant also attended committee meetings of the <br /> Newsletter, Finance and I-35W Corridor Coalition. <br /> The Post Office notified the City that we need to begin publishing more copies of <br /> the newsletter in order to receive the bulk mailing rate for full saturation of homes <br /> and businesses il10ng the updated route system. <br /> . <br />
