Planning Case 98-09, City of Arden Hills, 1245 Highway 96, Site Plan (City Hall). <br /> The City is requesting approval of the site plan for the new City Hall at Sunfish Lake. I <br /> have previously provided the City Council with plans and would appreciate any <br /> comments that may affect my case report on this item. <br /> 2. Planning Case 98-20, Dan Kubat, 3459 Lake Johanna Boulevard, Variances (side <br /> yard and rear yard). The applicant is requesting approval of a five foot side yard setback <br /> when an eight foot setback is required and a 22 foot rear yard setback when 30 feet is <br />~ required. The applicants property is significantly smaller than the adjacent properties and <br /> those in the neighborhood. The variances would allow the applicant to rebuild an existing <br /> garage and attach it to the house. <br /> 3. Planning Case 98-21, Ramsey County Parks and Recreation Department, 3500 Lake <br /> Johanna Boulevard, Site Plan and Variances (parking lot from right-of-way and <br /> lake). The applicant is requesting approval of the Phase I construction in Tony Schmidt <br /> Park The master plan for this area was approved by the City Council earlier this year. <br /> The construction that is currently planned would fix the parking areas (north and south of <br /> Lake Johanna Boulevard) and construct some trails. <br /> Comorehensive Plan update <br /> The Planning Commission will meet on Wednesday, August 5,1998 at 6:00 p.m. to continue to <br /> discuss the update to the Comprehensive Plan. At this meeting, it is anticipated that the Planning <br /> Commission will discuss how to effectively prioritize the various improvements they are <br /> proposing (ie., trails, roads, etc.) so as to maximize the leveraging ofthe investment of public <br /> dollars. The regular Planning Commission meeting will start at 8:00 p.m. following the <br /> worksession. <br />. <br />
