<br />. . <br /> Economic Development <br />. 1. Gateway Business District. The Staff continues to meet with prospective developers of <br /> the Morris Communication site. To date, there appears to be significant interest in the <br /> site, but very limited interest in doing a "pure multi-story office building" on the site. <br /> The Staff will continue to keep the Council appraised of events as they become clearer. <br /> The landscaping is going in on Phases II, III, and IV of the Welsh Development. It <br /> appears that most of the issues that arose earlier appear to be working themselves out, <br /> with the exception of Ms. Rademacher (who appears to be currently engaged in a struggle <br /> with A TS Steel). <br /> 2. Economic Development Finance Training. The week of July 20th, I attended the third <br /> week (real estate development) of finance training by the National Development Council. <br /> I have one week of training remaining to obtain my certification from them as an <br /> Economic Development Finance Professional. <br />. <br />. <br /> - <br />
