<br /> CITY OF ARDEN HILLS <br /> COUNTY OF RAMSEY . <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 98-56 <br /> A RESOLUTION ORDERING A FEASIBILITY REPORT IN THE MATTER OF THE <br /> 1999 STREET IMPROVEMENT PROJECT <br /> WHEREAS, the City has determined that it should consider improving certain property by <br /> reconstructing, rehabilitating or maintaining streets; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council must first secure a preliminary feasibility report in order to <br /> consider making the improvement; and <br /> WHEREAS, it is proposed at some point in the future, to improve the following streets; North <br /> Snelling Avenue from Arden Place to the north dead end cul-de-sac and, North Hamline Avenue <br /> from County Road E to the north dead end; and <br /> WHEREAS, in order to improve North Snelling avenue and North Hamline A venue, it appears, <br /> the City needs to obtain additional right-of-way and easements; and <br /> WHEREAS, it is the intent to assess benefitting properties for all or a portion of the cost of the . <br /> improvement, pursuant to MN statutes, Chapter 429 <br /> NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Arden Hills, <br /> Minnesota that the proposed improvement be referred to BRW, Consulting Engineers, for study, <br /> and that they are instructed to report to the Council with all convenient speed advising the <br /> Council in a preliminary way, as to whether the proposed improvement is necessary, cost- <br /> effective, and feasible, and as to whether the improvement should best be made as proposed or in <br /> connection with some other improvement, and the estimated cost of the improvement as <br /> recommended. <br /> BE IT FUTHER RESOLVED, that BRW is instructed to outline and identify the additional <br /> Right-of-Way and easements which are necessary in order to improve North Hamline Avenue <br /> and North Snelling Avenue. <br /> PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARDEN HILLS <br /> THIS 31ST DAY OF AUGUST, 1998. <br /> DENNIS PROBST, MAYOR <br /> ATTEST: . <br /> BRIAN FRITSINGER, CITY ADMINISTRATOR <br />
