Costs of <br /> the sign and future maintenance would be shared by the cities ofRoseville and Arden Hills, <br /> The Joint Powers Agreement basically states that both cities have mutually agreed to and adopted <br /> Ordinances with the same elements, and that: <br /> o Each City will be responsible for notifying the Public of the Ordinance. <br /> o Each City will advise property owners surrounding Lake Josephine ofthe Ordinance. <br /> o Each City shall request the Ramsey County Sheriffs Department to enforce the <br /> Ordinance. <br /> o Neither City will change or amend its Ordinance without consulting with the other. <br /> Further Action <br /> rfCounciI approves Ordinance #309, and the Joint Powers Agreement, Staff will forward those <br /> documents to the Department of Natural Resources for their approval. When this occurs, the <br /> Ordinance will be posted at the Lake Josephine Public Access Boat Landing, Copies will be sent <br /> to property owners on Lake Josephine and the Ordinance will be published in the official Arden <br /> Hills city paper. The Ordinance will then become effective the day following the publication. <br /> Recommendation <br /> Staff Recommends Council approve Ordinance #309 and the Joint Powers Agreement regulating . <br /> surface water use on Lake Josephine, subject to formal approval by the Minnesota Department of <br /> Natural Resources. <br /> . <br />
