Property Acquisitions <br /> Preliminary conversations have been held with Bethel College <br /> regarding a potential joint park project on the ten (10) acres ofland <br /> it owns west of Old Snelling Avenue. The Council has directed <br /> staff to continue negotiations and look into preliminary design/cost <br /> options. <br /> Staff continues to work with our attorney, engineer and an <br /> acquisition/relocation specialist on the acquisition of the <br /> Indykiewicz property, A formal offer of intent to purchase was <br /> served to the family, but to-date, no counter offer has been <br /> received. Both parties are working to certify and update the <br /> appraisals completed earlier this summer. <br /> 4. Community Representations <br /> As City Administrator, I've attended a variety of meetings representing the <br /> City this past month. . <br /> s. mance Department <br /> The Finance Department is in thc final communication phase of trying to <br /> give delinquent utility customers one last chance before these balances are <br /> put on a certification list for Council action. Such balances for fifty-seven <br /> (57) customers currently totals $22,653.86, or approximately one percent <br /> (1 %) of allliual billed receivables, <br /> Thc third quarter water meter reads for non-residential utility customers <br /> should be able to be both read rcmotely and downloaded successfully for <br /> this billing cycle. <br /> The Department has begun the process of converting its hundreds of <br /> "Lotus 1-2-3" spreadsheets into "Excel" spreadsheets. <br /> Senior Accounting Clerk, Sandra Berres, attcnded a two day training <br /> session sponsored by the Minnesota Governmcnt Finance Officer's <br /> Association earlier this month, <br /> . <br />
