Case #98-26, Gre!';!'; I,anon <br /> The Planning Commission recommends approval of Planning Case #98- <br /> 26, Gregg Larson, 3377 North Snelling Avenue, minor <br /> subdivision/consolidation with the requirement that the survey be recorded <br /> as a Registered Land Survey. <br /> b. Pay Fstimate #3, 1998 Street Project, T. A. Schifsk)' & Sons <br /> The City Council is asked to approve Pay Estimate #3, in the amount of <br /> $200,616.99 to T. A. Schifsky & Sons for work completed as part of the 1998 <br /> Street Improvement project. <br /> c. 1998 Association of Metropolitan !VI u nicipalities (A MM) Le!';islative Policies <br /> and Priorities <br /> The City Council is asked to consider the identification of priorities for AMM that <br /> will be used as part of the next state legislative session. Councilmembers are <br /> requested to bring your copy of the proposed AMM Policies as previously <br /> provided on October 16, 1998. <br /> 4. Department Report . <br /> The City Council will find the department report enclosed for each of the various City <br /> Departments. Activities related to the Administration and Finance Departments include: <br /> a. General Administration <br /> . Staff has begun working on scheduling for the 1999 calendar. This <br /> includes Council meetings, Town Hall meeting, Council/Department Head <br /> Retreat and other meetings. <br /> . The City is beginning to see an influx ofletters from local businesses <br /> seeking information on our Year 2000 compliance plan. I have received a <br /> great deal ofinfonnation from the League of Minnesota Cities (LMC), and <br /> will attend an LMC sponsored seminar in the next three (3) weeks. Once <br /> this seminar is complete, staff will be discussing any apparent concerns or <br /> problem areas in more depth. <br /> I. General Election Preparation <br /> With the General Election fast approaching, staff has continued to be busy <br /> on a wide variety of election activities. Wc completed additional Election <br /> Judge training, additional maintenance on our Optech voting machines, <br /> prepared the test deck for the public accuracy test, ordered supplies, <br /> advertised as nccessary, and continue to coordinate all of these items with <br /> Ramsey County. . <br /> --- <br />
