<br /> . D. Oreanization. At its initial organizational meeting, the Fire Board shall elect one of the <br /> City Council representatives as a chair person and shall designate the chair person's <br /> term of office. The Chief Administrative Officer of the chair person's City shall be <br /> responsible for keeping minutes and performing other administrative duties as directed <br /> by the Fire Board. <br /> E. Meetines. The Fire Board shall meet at least every three (3) months or as frequently <br /> as the Fire Board determines it to be necessary. The Fire Board shall be subject to the <br /> provisions ofthe Minnesota Open Meeting Law (M,S. 471.705) and the recordsofthe <br /> Fire Board shall be maintained by the Shoreview City Manager. <br /> F. Duties and Functions. The Fire Board shall serve in an advisory capacity to the <br /> Shoreview, Arden Hills and North Oaks City Councils. The Fire Board shall make <br /> recommendations in regard to the following matters: <br /> 1. The terms of any agreements between each of the Cities and the Fire <br /> Department which are common to all parties, <br /> 2. The construction and financing of improvements to existing facilities or new <br /> facilities which are owned or operated by the Fire Department in order to <br /> provide fire protection services to the Cities and allocation of costs among <br /> Cities for such improvements. <br /> . 3. The purchase and financing of equipment and supplies for facilities owned or <br /> operated by the Fire Department in order to provide fire protection services to <br /> the Cities and allocation of costs among Cities for such equipment and <br /> supplies. <br /> 4. The proposed overall annual Fire Department budget and subsequent <br /> allocation of costs for services which are common to the Cities. <br /> 5. The allocation of Fire Department assets among the Cities in the event that the <br /> Fire Department is dissolved and there is no successor organization to the Fire <br /> Department. <br /> 6. The rights and responsibilities of the Fire Department and the Cities pursuant <br /> to individual Fire Protection Service Agreements, <br /> 7. Other items of concern to all of the Cities relating to fire protection services as <br /> directed to the Fire Board by official action of a member's City Councilor of the <br /> Fire Department. <br /> .. ,.' <br /> 5,0 Existine Aereements, Nothing herein shall be construed to rescind or otherwise amend <br /> any existing agreements between any of the Cities and the Fire Department. <br /> 6.0 Amendment.
