<br /> "'. <br />Monthly Department Head Report e <br />Page 2 <br />November 20,1998 <br />Cleveland Avenue Railroad Bridge <br />The City was informed the Cleveland A venue railroad bridge replacement will begin during the <br />spring of 1999. The County's Consulting Engineer on that project has indicated a possible <br />conflict with the new bridge and an existing Arden Hills water main. Staff will follow up on this <br />Issue. <br />Puhlic Works <br />In addition to regular maintenance duties, Public Works employees have worked on the <br />following this month: <br />. Fall clean-up day at Shoreview <br />. Copper/Lead testing program <br />. Mounting plow frames on trucks and checking operation <br />. South water tower warranty inspection . <br />. Winterize fire hydrants as needed (many City hydrants don't drain due to their location in <br /> wet areas. These hydrants need to be pumped and filled with anti-freeze to prevent <br /> damage) <br />. Set up, dismantle, and store voting equipment <br />. Replaced balcony stairs at Public WorkslParks garage per OSHA directive <br />. Installed more exterior lights at garage (Salvaged from old City Hall) <br />. Regrade and added Class V to Lake Lane per Bradley request <br />. Applied floating degreaser to all Life Station wet wells <br />. Performed random inspections on Balfany, Dynamark, 1998 Street Improvements <br /> Gateway Boulevard, and Sewer Rehabilitation projects <br />. Cleaned a portion of the known sewer problem areas <br /> . <br />- ~- --- <br />
