Res. #911-72, West Round 1.ake Road <br /> The City Council is asked to review additional information related to the <br /> reconstruction of West Round Lake Road and reschedule the public hearing for <br /> January 4,1999. <br /> 5. Department Report <br /> The City Council will find the department report enclosed for each of the various City <br /> Departments. Activities related to the Administration and Finance Departments include: <br /> General Administration <br /> . Y2K Compliance <br /> Staff has begun looking into the various issues related to Y2K and will be <br /> attending a seminar in early December, sponsored by the League of Minnesota <br /> Cities (LMC). Once staff has some additional specifics related to this issue and <br /> how it may affect Arden,Hills, a report will be provided to the City Council. The <br /> City has received notification from the LMC that we need to adopt a "Year 2000 <br /> Readiness Disclosure Statement" by December 3, 1998. I am trying to contact the <br /> . League to determine what this means. <br /> . I .iquor I.icense Renewals <br /> Staff has been working on the various improvements of the 1999 renewal process <br /> with the current liquor license holders. <br /> . AMMfLMC I .e~islative Policy Recommendations/Processin~ <br /> Staff reviewed the various AMM/LMC legislative policies and discussed them <br /> with the City Council. Staff attended the LMC Policy Adoption meeting to <br /> forward the City's priorities. <br /> . Annual Insurance Review <br /> We have also been working with T. C. Field on the annual review of our liability <br /> and Workers Compensation insurance. <br /> . General Election <br /> The primary activity in early November was the various activities related to the <br /> .. ,.' General Election. Staff worked a twenty-hour day to ensure that the election was <br /> a success. The high turnout was a challenge at some precincts, but the Election <br /> Judges did a fine job, and were able to keep problems to a minimum. <br /> . <br />
