Res. #911-72, West Round 1.ake Road The City Council is asked to review additional information related to the reconstruction of West Round Lake Road and reschedule the public hearing for January 4,1999. 5. Department Report The City Council will find the department report enclosed for each of the various City Departments. Activities related to the Administration and Finance Departments include: General Administration . Y2K Compliance Staff has begun looking into the various issues related to Y2K and will be attending a seminar in early December, sponsored by the League of Minnesota Cities (LMC). Once staff has some additional specifics related to this issue and how it may affect Arden,Hills, a report will be provided to the City Council. The City has received notification from the LMC that we need to adopt a "Year 2000 Readiness Disclosure Statement" by December 3, 1998. I am trying to contact the . League to determine what this means. . I .iquor I.icense Renewals Staff has been working on the various improvements of the 1999 renewal process with the current liquor license holders. . AMMfLMC I .e~islative Policy Recommendations/Processin~ Staff reviewed the various AMM/LMC legislative policies and discussed them with the City Council. Staff attended the LMC Policy Adoption meeting to forward the City's priorities. . Annual Insurance Review We have also been working with T. C. Field on the annual review of our liability and Workers Compensation insurance. . General Election The primary activity in early November was the various activities related to the .. ,.' General Election. Staff worked a twenty-hour day to ensure that the election was a success. The high turnout was a challenge at some precincts, but the Election Judges did a fine job, and were able to keep problems to a minimum. .
