Road Intersection <br /> Improvement <br /> SCHEDULED PROJECT ACTIVITY <br /> FUNDING SOURCE 1999 2000 2001 2002 2003 FUTURE <br /> Tax Increment $2,226,000 <br /> Financing <br /> LOCATION <br /> West Round Lake Road/Highway 96 Intersection <br /> DESCRIPTION <br /> The City needs to realign the Highway 96/West Round Lake Road intersection as a result of the <br /> improvements to Highway 96 and the bridge. The road will be moved as far east as possible to align <br /> with a new entrance into Arden Manor Mobile Home Park, This includes watermain, sanitary sewer, <br /> storm sewer, intersection widening and signalization and acquisition of the property. The estimated <br /> cost is $1,500,000 for land acquisition and $726,000 for the improvements, <br /> JUSTIFICATION <br /> The project is important as part of the redevelopment occurring in the Gateway Business District; and <br /> traffic studies have identified the need for the improvements detailed above. <br /> CURRENTSTATUS~ROJECTEDSCHEDULE <br /> The City/EDA is currently negotiating the acquisition of property from the Indykiewicz family, and <br />. the project is pending completion of the sale, <br /> Project is expected to begin in winter, 1999. <br /> RELATIONSHIP TO EXISTING PLANS AND OTHER PROGRAMS <br /> The project is related to the Highway 96 project being considered by Ramsey County and the <br /> reconstruction of West Round Lake Road, <br /> . <br />
