<br /> , <br /> ARDEN HILLS EDA SPECIAL MEETING - SEPTEMBER 14, 1998 4 , <br /> . <br /> President Probst asked Mr. Ringwald if staff is comfortable with their position with Ramsey <br /> County. <br /> Mr. Ringwald stated they were and that the County has stated this is the minimum design <br /> requirement for the roadway. There may be a question on the westerly side of the right-of-way <br /> because there is a somewhat wider than normal right-of-way widths and how much of the right- <br /> of-way is the City's cost. A typical right-of-way is 66 feet and the proposed right-of-way is <br /> about 80 feet. The pond is primarily the County's issue and is being provided to serve the <br /> remnant parcel and Highway 96 runoff. <br /> MISCRI,I,ANEOIJS ITRMS <br /> President Probst asked Mr. Ringwald ifhe had an update on the Cardiac Pacemakers, <br /> Incorporated (CPI) grant. <br /> Mr. Ringwald stated that, on September 1,1998, the State of Minnesota's Department of Trade <br /> and Economics Development (DTED) awarded the CPI a loan in the amount of $300,000 to <br /> facilitate the 47,000 foot expansion to Building E on the CPI campus and the funds will begin to <br /> be paid back in October. He indicated $200,000 of the money was a forgivable loan so ifthey <br /> meet certain employment projections that portion of the loan will be forgiven. The other <br /> $100,000 is a low interest loan of3% over five years, paid back to the City, which will help in . <br /> future business expansions. <br /> ADJOIJRN <br /> MOTION: Commissioner Aplikowski moved and Commissioner Larson seconded the <br /> motion to adjourn the meeting at 7:35 p.m. The motion carried unanimously (5- <br /> 0). <br /> Dennis Probst Brian Fritsinger <br /> President Secretary-Treasurer <br /> . <br />
