Flooded the eleven city skating rinks, including six hockey and five <br />pleasure rinks. (Rinks are monitored daily and are scraped and flooded daily, if needed <br />to provide smooth ice. Occasionally flooding is done at night to insure all rinks will be <br />ready for the following day. This service uSeS nearly all of the Parks manpower during <br />the skating season). <br /> <br />Puhlic Works Direclor <br />The following are activities the Public Works Director has been involved with this past month. <br /> <br />. Third and fourth draft of the City's Emergency Preparedness Plan. <br /> <br />. Dynamark and Guidant water main relocation. <br /> <br />. Monitoring street conditions. Though some neighboring cities have plowed up to three <br />times, Arden Hills Public Works has not plowed snow this season. (As of December <br />30). <br /> <br />. Completed paperwork on the Lake Josephine ordinance and delivered it to the DNR for <br />final approval. Help is provided by Steve North, Roseville Assistant City Manager. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Applied for the remaining $5,000 of a $10,000 Met Council Environmental <br />Services Grant approved earlier this year for the reduction of inflow and infiltration into <br />the City's sewer system. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. Lift Station #3 reconstruction. <br /> <br />. Obtaining garbage regulations from neighboring cities. <br /> <br />. Interviews, evaluations and reference checks on Park Maintenance job applicants. <br />A job offer has been made to and accepted by Mr. Scott Freyberger who is a 2 I-year <br />employee of Margolis Landscaping Company of Roseville. Scott will be starting his <br />position on January 14, 1999. <br /> <br />The City Parks and Public Works Foreman attended hazardous waste training provided by Ramsey <br />County. <br /> <br />. <br />
