Staff expects the contractor will attend to <br />the remaining punch list items next spring. <br /> <br />1999 Street Project <br />Bidding on West Round Lake Road Phase I which was scheduled for December 17, 1998 has been <br />rescheduled for January 14, 1999 to allow staff more time to work out some complications. <br /> <br />Lift Station #3 <br />The Lift Station #3 reconstruction is going well. The deepest, wettest, most difficult part of the project is <br />complete. Some shoring and pumping were necessary to provide for a firm base for the new lift station <br />structure which is about 25 feet deep. <br /> <br />Public Works Department <br />In addition to their regular maintenance duties, Public Works employees have worked on the following <br />this month: <br /> <br />. One week of tree trimming and chipping in the southeast portion of the City <br />with equipment borrowed from the City of Shoreview. <br /> <br />. Repaired water main break on Venus Avenue on December 30 (the coldest <br />day of the winter so far). <br /> <br />. Street sanding on three occasions. <br /> <br />. Removed and replaced electric motor on Lift Station #8 (Hamline Avenue and <br />Ingerson Road) which burned out, causing approximately $4,000 worth of <br />damage to motor and control panel. <br /> <br />. Started 4"' quarter water meter readings. <br /> <br />Parks Departmeut <br />Parks employee activities this month included; <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Constructing a lean-to addition to the Maintenance Building for storing recyclables and <br />drain oil (eliminates collectors need to access Maintenance Garage). <br />
