<br />. <br /> <br />, <br /> <br />Memorandum, Bethel College Park Development <br />Page Two <br />February 4, 1999 <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />What are the Potential Project Costs? <br />The cost of the project is currently estimated to be between $750,000 and $1,000,000. There are <br />two (2) cost components related to this type of facility; construction and on-going maintenance. <br /> <br />. Construction <br />The intention is for Bethel to fund-raise for the estimated $1,000,000 project cost. <br />If the City participates fInancially, it makes the project more feasible from a fund- <br />raising standpoint. There is no specifIc dollar amount identifIed for City <br />participation. Should the project proceed, the City will need to evaluate its level <br />of fInancial participation. <br /> <br />. On-Going Maintenance <br />Bethel would maintain the facility year-round and would be responsible for lining <br />and striping fIelds for its events, <br /> <br />The City would be responsible for lining and striping of fIelds during its game day <br />events and during the summer months. <br /> <br />What are the Prol!ramminl! Needs of Bethel? <br />A summary broken down by areas of usage follows: <br />I. Soccer (Men's and Women's) <br />Mid-August - Second week of November; 7 days in April-May @ 4:00-6:00 <br />Monday through Friday, 4:00 - 6:00 p.m. <br />Saturday games, 1:00 - 3:00 p,m. (N only) <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />2. Softball <br />March - Third week of May (fourth week if qualify for national tournament) <br />Monday through Friday, 4:00 - 6:00 p.m. <br />Saturday games (6 - 8 total), 1:00 - 5:00 p,m. <br /> <br />3. Tennis <br />March - Mid-May <br />Monday through Friday, 3:30 - clark <br />Saturday matches, times vary, 3 - 4 hours <br />Summer: conduct I or 2 weeks oftennis camps (9:00 a.m, - 4:00 p.m,) <br /> <br />4. <br /> <br />Intramural Sports/Physical Education Classes <br />March - Mid-May and August - November <br />8:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. <br />Timing will vary <br />Intramural- Saturday mornings, 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon (dates will vary) <br /> <br />e <br />
