Actions to be taken by the county Warning Officer for situations not involving an <br />immediate threat to public safety: <br /> <br />A. Contact the City Emergency Management Director, or other appropriate local government <br />official, for instructions. <br /> <br />B. Notify Ramsey County Warning Point of the situation. <br /> <br />IV. <br /> <br />Testing Procedures <br /> <br />A. State policy is that counties and municipalities test their public warning systems at 1300 <br />hours (1 :00 p.m.) the first Wednesday of each month. Counties and municipalities are <br />encouraged to make advance armouncements of each test through local radio, television, and <br />newspapers. (Ref: Minnesota Emergency Plan, Part E, App. 6. <br /> <br />B. At 1 :00 p.m. the first Wednesday of each month the State Warning Point will test the <br />Minneapolis-St. Paul Metro Area Siren System. The Arden Hills Public warning System <br />will be tested in the following marmer: <br /> <br />1. Sound the (test) alert signal. This is a steady tone for a period of one (1) minute. <br /> <br />_ Wait one minute - <br /> <br />2. Sound the (test) attack warning signal. This is a wailing tone on the siren for a period of <br />one (1) minute. <br /> <br />V. In the event of a natural or man-made disaster, the general public is advised to contact <br />local law enforcement agencies for information regarding missing persons, emergency <br />services, restricted areas, and other pertinent information. <br /> <br />33 <br />
