<br />City of Arden Hills <br /> <br />Chapter 12 Subdivisions <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />1230.04 Additional City Improvements. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Subd. I General. It is ilcrelly miiu.~!mipeclared t&be-the-policy of the City to proceed <br /> <br />as soon as practicable after final approval of a subdivision plat with installations within the <br /> <br />subdivision of such improvements as may be determined to be necessary by the City <br /> <br />Council, such as central wells, water mains, street grading, street surfacing, sanitary and <br /> <br />storm sewers, water pumping, and storage facilities and hydrants. The City engineer shall <br /> <br />be directed to prepare plans and specifications for the same upon acceptance of the fmal <br /> <br />plat and shall submit his m!Ag)'ecommendations for suc.frl~:::improvements, together with <br /> <br />estimated costs, to the City Council. The Council may authorize preparation of sueh-~ <br /> <br />plans and specifications by an engineer employed by the subdivider at his m!r~:::sole <br /> <br />expense and under the direction and subject to the approval of the engineer. Upon <br /> <br />acceptance of the fmal plat the Council may commence assessment proceedings for the <br /> <br />furnishing and construction of SIlid-~:)mprovements within the subdivision, and may order <br /> <br />suelr-ef-SIlid-improvements as it deems expedient and necessary. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Subd. 2 Alternative. In the alternative, the City Council may authorize the execution of <br /> <br />a contract between the City and the subdivider requiring the subdivider to furnish and to <br /> <br />construct said-~limprovements at the sole cost of the subdivider, in accordance with plans <br /> <br />and specifications and usual contract conditions approved by the Council, which shall <br /> <br />include provision for supervision of details of construction by the City engineer, and grant <br /> <br />to the engineer authority to correlate the work to be done under SIlid-~::contract with other <br /> <br /> <br />improvements in the subdivision which may be constructed by the City under contract with <br /> <br />12 - 33 <br />
