Our <br />philosophy is to hire personnel in disciplines for which we have a high demand. In that way, each <br />professional maintains their expertise and up-to-date knowledge of regulations and technological <br />advances. In disciplines that are need on an occasional basis, i.e., materials testing, electrical <br />engineering, we have developed working relationships with quality specialty finns. <br /> <br />Our in-house service areas are as follows: <br /> <br />. Municipal Planning - This group provides planning services to several communities in the <br />metropolitan area The MFRA planning staff serves as municipal planning staff in several <br />communities, conducts comprehensive planning, specialized land use studies and ordinance <br />updates. The blend of roles in a variety of communities has given MFRA planners a broad <br />comprehension of the legal, social, technical and political understanding of projects and <br />issues in the communities we work in. We have broad planning experience and intend to <br />emphasize our planning services over the next several years. <br /> <br />. Landscape Architecture - The landscape architecture department is most active in park <br />planning and development. We have strong design experience in individual sites, large <br />acreage multi-family developments and urban streetscapes. <br /> <br />. Municipal Engineering - General engineering services including technical liaison to City <br />Council, committees and public works departments; complete design and construction <br />management services on infrastructure improvements; technical representation to other <br />govemment agencies and special engineering studies for drainage, traffic, sanitary sewer or <br />water system issues. These services can be provided to Arden Hills as needed. <br /> <br />. Environmental Services - This diverse groups is involved with the intricate and sensitive <br />issues of envirorunental engineering for governmental, private, cornmercial and industrial <br />clientele. The professional disciplines include water resource specialists, a certified soil <br />scientist (wetlands expert), envirorunental engineers, envirorunental scientist, <br />wa1er/wastewater treatment engineers and a certified treatment plant operator. <br /> <br />. Private Services - This service area is comprised of a separate group of project engineers <br />and planners that provide general civil engineering services to residential, commercial and <br />industrial clientele. The company adheres to strict policies regarding full disclosure and non- <br />conflict of interest. On many occasions, the contacts and knowledge of the private services <br />groups have been a valuable resource to the government agencies we service. <br /> <br />. Surveying Services - This group provides registered land surveying and construction <br />staking services. The registered land surveying work includes boundary surveys and <br />certificates, lost corner restoration, final plat documents, aerial control networks, <br />topographical mapping, easement preparation and acquisition, legal descriptions and <br />boundary dispute resolution. <br />
