Post, Interim City Administrator <br /> <br />Dwayne Stafford, Public Works Director ~. <br /> <br />Amending Prohibited Sewer Connection Ordinance <br /> <br />FROM: <br /> <br />SUBJECT: <br /> <br />Backl!round <br />The Arden Hills City Council diseussed the attaehed ordinance change reeommendations at its <br />August 9, 1999 meeting, At that time, Couneil favored the proposed changes outlined by staff <br />with the exeeption of the fixed sureharge amount, whieh Council will set ammally by resolution <br />with other Jicenses and permit fees, This surcharge may then be adjusted from time to time as <br />necessary without the need for amending the related ordinanee, <br /> <br />Council also directed staff to publish notice of an information meeting related to the proposed <br />ordinance change at the August 30, 1999 regular Council meeting, <br /> <br />Recommendation <br />The Public Works Director recommends Couneij review the proposed ordinance ehange, <br />consider any input residents may provide at the informational meeting, and adopt the amended <br />ordinance, <br /> <br />If adopted, staff will then publish the amended ordinance, which will become effective on the <br />day following publication, <br />
