Resource <br />Strategies <br />Corporation <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Comprehensive Plan and Zonin~ Ordinance Review and UDdate - City of East Bethel <br />RSC has been retained by the City of East Bethel to update its Comprehensive Plan and Zoning <br />Ordinance. RSC has also provides ongoing services on a retainer basis. Activities include: <br /> <br />. Complete Update of the Comprehensive Plan and Zoning Ordinance; <br />. Analysis of trends, existing conditions and anticipated growth patterns. <br />. Develop goals and l'olicies through public participation under the direction of the <br />Planning Commission and the City Council; <br />. Recommend revisions to the City's official controls; <br />. Review landfill pennit application/monitoring records; <br />. Review recycling/compost facility application; <br />. Evaluate potential environmental impacts; <br />. Review subdivision proposals. <br /> <br />RSC is conducting public participation through a community workshop consisting of citizens <br />and civic organizations. The workshop will provide the opportunity for participants to identify <br />the City as it exists, and to identify its strengths, needs and priorities. ComDrehensive Plan and Zonin~ Ordinance Review and UDdate - EmDire Township <br />RSC provided technical planning assistance to Empire Township to update its Comprehensive <br />Plan and Zoning Ordinance. Activities included: <br /> <br />. Identification of community issues; <br />. Establishment of citizen participation process; <br />. Analysis of environmental features and growth impacts; <br />. Summary of socio-economic conditions and trends; <br />. Identification of agricultural preservation priorities; <br />. Preparation of plan elements I growth strategies; <br />. Coordination of review process with Metropolitan Council; <br />. Coordination of land use actions in airport search area; <br />. Development of zoning ordinance revisions; <br />. Coordination and development of feedlot regulations; <br />. Development of Tree Preservation, Mineral Extraction and Telecommunication Tower <br />Ordinances. <br /> <br />The project was initiated in June, 1992 and completed in February, 1994. RSC is currently <br />providing technical planning assistance on a retainer basis to the Township and will begin a new <br />update of the plan and ordinances in 1998-99. <br /> <br />.
