<br />", <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />~~ ~.Q~ <br />lD!l{,il~ <br />'cUe f' '4J2.i.A~'h-0v\ <br /> <br />AGREEMENT <br /> <br />This agreement, made and entered this 26th day of October, 1999, by and between the City <br />of Arden Hills, a Minnesota Municipal Corporation, hereinafter referred to as "Employer" and <br />Joseph P. Lvnch ,hereinafter referred to as "Employee." <br /> <br />1. POSITION <br />The Employer agrees to employ Employee as its City Clerk! Administrator commencing <br />on November 10 , 1999. Employee agrees to serve as the City Clerk! Administrator <br />for the Employer and will devote his full business time and best efforts to the City and <br />will not engage in any other business or occupation. Employee agrees to perform the <br />duties of ilie City Clerk! Administrator as set out in the Arden Hills Ordinances and <br />policies as they are now in effect, and as they may be amended from time to time. <br />Additionally, Employee shall be required to perform such oilier duties as may be directed <br />by the City Council from time to time. <br /> <br />2. <br /> <br />SALARY <br />The Employer agrees to pay Employee a starting salary of.JH...% ofthe maximum/top <br />end of the 1999 salary range ($ 57,500 ) starting November 10 , 1999, and thereafter at <br />such rate as may be fixed, from time to time, by the City Council. A performance and <br />salary review will be given at the end of six (6) months (May 10, 2000) and at twelve <br />(12) monilis (November 10,2000). Thereafter, Employee's salary and performance will <br />be reviewed in November, 2001, and every twelve (12) monilis thereafter in accordance <br />with the review of the compensation of other City employees and in compliance with the <br />City's comparable worth plan. <br /> <br />3. DEFERRED COMPENSATION <br />It is agreed that the Employee will continue as a participant in the Public Employee's <br />Retirement Association (PERA) system. The Employer will allow Employee to enroll in <br />the ICMA Retirement Corporation (ICMA) 457(b) deferred compensation plan. The <br />Employer agrees to match contributions to this deferred compensation plan to a <br />maximum of ~% of Employee's base salary. <br /> <br />4. ANNUAL VACATION, SICK LEAVE <br />At Employee's hire date of November 10, 1999, Employee shall have a vacation leave <br />balance of eighty (80) hours. Thereafter, the Employee shall continue his vacation leave <br />accrual in accordance with current City policy, as amended from time to time; however <br />the maximum accrual may not exceed the maximum established by the City's policy. <br />During Employee's probationary period, the beginning vacation leave balance can be <br />utilized by Employee. <br /> <br />5. HOLIDAYS <br />Employee shall receive the same standard holidays as detailed in current City Ordinance. <br />
