<br />CITY ADMINISTRATOR AGREEMENT <br /> <br />P AGE TWO <br /> <br />.,.... <br />. <br /> <br />6. INSURANCE <br />Employee will receive the same per month/per employee allotment for benefits as <br />detailed in City Ordinances/policy. Those benefits include health, dental, short-term <br />disability, long-term disability, and life insurance. <br /> <br />7. DUES AND SUBSCRIPTIONS <br />The Ernployer agrees to budget and pay the professional dues and subscriptions necessary <br />to maintain Employee's membership in those national, regional, state and local <br />associations for the good of the City and desirable for Employee's continued professional <br />participation, growth and advancement. The Employee will detail and justify these <br />expenses as a part ofthe City's annual budget process. <br /> <br />8. PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT <br /> <br />a. <br /> <br />The Employer recognizes the need for, and encourages, the Employee to be active <br />in professional activities and therefore, the Employer hereby agrees to budget and <br />to pay the travel and subsistence expenses of Employee for professional and <br />office travel, meetings, and occasions adequate to continue the professional <br />development of Employee and to adequately pursue necessary official and other <br />functions for the Employer, including but not limited to, the annual conference <br />and meetings of the International City Management Association; the League of <br />Minnesota Cities; the State Managers' Association; and such other committees <br />thereof on which Employee is a member. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />b. The Employer also agrees to budget and to pay for the travel and subsistence <br />expenses for Employee for short courses, institutes, and seminars that are <br />necessary for his professional development and for the good of the City. <br /> <br />c. Notwithstanding the foregoing provisions, the Employer retains the right to limit <br />or expand the Employee's activities described herein from time to time at its sole <br />discretion. <br /> <br />9. GENERAL EXPENSES <br />The Employer shall reimburse Employee for all business expenses incurred while <br />representing the City, including, but not limited to meals, civic club memberships, and <br />subscriptions. <br /> <br />10. <br /> <br />TERMINATION AND SEVERANCE PAY <br />For purposes of calculating severance pay, the Employee start date shall be November <br />10, 1999. Nothing in this agreement shall prevent, limit or otherwise interfere with the <br />right of the Employer to terminate the services of Employee at any time, for any reason, <br />subject only to the provisions of this agreement. Furthermore, nothing in this agreement <br />shall prevent, limit or otherwise interfere with the right of Employee to resign at any time <br />from his position with the City, subject only to the provisions of this agreement. <br /> <br />. <br />
