The bid from Visu-Sewer Clean & Seal contained a minor error which did not effect the <br />ranking of the bids. The total bid amount from Lametti & Sons, Inc. is approximately 5% below the <br />Engineer's Estimate and reflects a competitive bidding market. Bid tabulations are attached for your <br />information. If the Council elects to award the base bid only, the Jow bidder is Infrastructure <br />Technologies, Inc. <br /> <br />The Base Bid amount includes televising of approximately 50,000 linear feet of sanitary sewer within the <br />city and the installation of 2,300 linear feet of pipe lining along the easement north of County Road E-2. <br />The Bid Alternate I amount includes work associated with repairing a segment of sanitary sewer which is <br />improperly aligned resulting in a sag condition. The current sag pipe condition requires frequent <br />maintenance by City staff to keep the line clean and operational. The sag pipe could back up and result in <br />raw sewage to enter the wetland area if it is not cleaned frequently. The contract bid amount for the sag <br />repair includes installing piling supports and replacing the pipe itself if necessary however, if the soils are <br />in good condition upon exposing the pipe, piling supports may not be needed and the final cost of this <br />work could be substantially less than the bid amount. <br /> <br />The following is a list of subcontractors that Lametti & Sons, Inc. has indicated will work on the project: <br />Function Subcontractor <br />Televising and Testing and Sealing Infrastructure Technologies <br /> <br />Lametti & Sons, Inc. has performed work for the City in the past. Most recently, they constructed the <br />Gateway Boulevard and Gateway Court improvements. Although this project took a long time to complete <br />and a paving punch list item remains to be addressed by the Contractor (the paving was performed by a <br />subcontractor), the utility work performed by Lametti is generally very good. <br /> <br />OfficesWorldvvicJc <br />
