Why can't the generator go inside the building?

Answer: The building is being utilized as an office environment and a
computer-operations center. It is likely the generator would create
problems for our computer operations due to harmonics, vibrations etc.
Appropriate space is not available to isolate and secure the generator for
the protection of the employees and meet OSHA requirements. It would
be cost prohibitive, for an 800 cubic inch diesel engine and generator to
9perate within the confines of a building structured for office use as the
layout of the building is not designed to house the generator unit. .

4. Why can't the generator go on the roof?

Answer: The structural design of the roof will not support 14,000
pounds after the fuel for the 747-gallon tank is added. It would also create
fueling problems, should we find a way to keep it from collapsing the roof.
Any penetration of a flat roof design, such as ours, would create major
leakage problems for the building.

5. Why is the South End of the building, the best location for the
generator?

Answer: The generator was delivered on a trailer, positioned on the
South End of the building and temporarily wired into our electrical system.
The generator has been field-tested and is providing the backup power we
require. While operating the generator we have concluded that this would
be the ideal location for the permanent installation because:

. It is located next to the buildings utility access area, I.e., electrical,
teiephone, sewer, water etc.;

. It is positioned next to our loading dock which was designed for
truck and courier traffic;

. It is the closest point to our electrical access panels;

. It is close to our interior electrical monitoring systems to facilitate
coordination of our generator with our battery driven UPS;

. It does not block off any windows;
