It is buffered from the buildings office staff and computers by our
loading dock area and supply room;

. It does not eliminate any landscaping;

. It allows effective access for fuel trucks and maintenance vehicles;

. it Is tne most c0st-effecti;,/e alternFltivp._

We recommend we place the generator according to the attached
drawings and paint it to match the building, We believe this would provide
a professional appearance consistent with the building design and
neighboring facilities. We would install a cedar fence or block wall
enclosure, should this be considered an absolute necessity.

6. Why can't the generator go on the East Side of the building?

Answer: It didn't appear feasible, as it would encroach on our
neighbor's property and sit on top of the creek.

7. Is the West Side of the building, in the green berm, an acceptable
alternate for the generator?

Answer: Placing the generator in the berm would create some
problems. Fueling the generator in the berm would force us to move
vehicles when the generator needed to be refueled. It would also force us
to iT.ave .vehiclas v\l~hqnever '1.;6 needed rrla!nten~:1ce \A!ork performed by
an outside vendor. Trouble shooting from the automatic transfer switch
would be more difficult to see the panel and to speak to anyone assisting.
Aesthetically, to the general public, we believe this would be an alternate
location. It would be partially buried in the hill with a surrounding fence
and landscaping. It would also eliminate some green cover of the current
scenery.

Any location near the building would block off windows, possibly create
harmonics problems for our computer operations. It would stand out from
the building and possibly create a distraction for employees working in the
building. It would also eliminate plants and sidewalk.

3//3-

,

...

...

tit
