Watermain
The project includes for the relocation of existing fire hydrants along the streets
proposed to be reconstructed as necessary. The proposed roadways will have
different curb lines and widths from the existing streets and some existing hydrant
locations may conflict with the new roadway locations. Hydrants will be
evaluated at the time of relocation to determine whether they should be replaced
due to underground corrosion or valve control problems, etc. Replacement or
relocation of a small amount of watermain to allow for storm sewer construction
is also anticipated. The final scope of watermain relocation will be determined as
a part of the final design. The existing watermain in the neighborhood does not
have a history of excessi ve breaks/leaks and is not proposed to be replaced en
masse.

B. Sanitary Sewer
The project area sanitary sewers will be televised as a part of the 1999 Sanitary
Sewer Rehabilitation project scheduled to be awarded at the November 8, 1999
Council Meeting. The results of the televising will determine whether any major
sanitary sewer reconstruction is necessary. There are no apparent sanitary sewer
problems which would require the reconstruction of sewer main however, if the
televising indicates problem areas, the repair work should be done in conjunction
with the street improvements.

6
