Cellars and space devoted to off-street parking shall not be included. <br /> <br />I@l FLOOR AREA RATIO: The numerical value obtained through dividing the gross floor area of <br />a building or buildings by the net lot or parcel ofland area on which such building or buildings <br />are located. (Ord. 275, 5-12-59) <br /> <br />I@l FUNERAL CHAPEL: A facility where funeral arrangements are made and memorial and/or <br />funeral services for the dead are held. This use does not include embalming or other preparation <br />of dead bodies for final disposition. Funeral chapels must be located adjacent to a Municipal <br />State aid, County, State or Federal roadway. (Ord. 863, 5-12-80) <br /> <br />I@l GARAGE, PRIVATE: A detached accessory building or portion of the principal building, <br />including a carport, which is used for storing passenger vehicles or trailer of the occupant, and/or <br />one truck of a rated capacity not in excess of one to one and one-half (1 1/2) ton. Space to store <br />up to two (2) vehicles may be rented to a nonresident. <br /> <br />I@l GARAGE, PUBLIC: Any building where automotive vehicles are painted, repaired, rebuilt, <br />reconstructed or stored for compensation. <br /> <br />I@l GROSS SURFACE AREA: See Chapter 1002. <br /> <br />I@l GROUND FLOOR AREA: The lot area covered by a building measured from the exterior faces <br />of exterior walls, but excluding open terraces and garages. <br /> <br />I@l GROUND SIGN: See Chapter .1009. <br /> <br />I@l HOME OCCUPATION: Any gainful occupation engaged in by occupants of the dwelling when <br />occupation is conducted within the principal structure or the principal structure becomes the base <br />of operation. <br /> <br />I@l HOTEL: A building which provides a common entrance, lobby, halls or stairways and in which <br />lodging is offered with or without meals to transient guests.
