<br />I <br /> <br />'! <br />e <br /> <br />MINUTES <br />CITY OF ARDEN HILLS, MINNESOTA <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br />WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 2, 2000 <br />7:30 P.M. - ARDEN HILLS CITY HALL <br /> <br />DRAFT <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Chair Steve Erickson called the meeting to order at 7:33 p.m. <br /> <br />ROLL CALL <br /> <br />Present were Chair Steve Erickson, Commissioners Stephen Baker, Terri Duchenes, <br />Therese Galatowitsch, and Dave Sand. <br /> <br />Absent were Commissioners Brent Nelson and Marty Rye. <br /> <br />Also present were Councihnember Gregg Larson and Associate Planner Nancy Randall, <br />and Recording Secretary Lori Rolfson. <br /> <br />OATH OF OFFICE <br /> <br />Councihnember Larson administered the Oath of Office to Chair Erickson and Commissioner <br />e Baker for their 2000 term. <br /> <br />Councihnember Larson expressed gratitude for Chair Erickson's and Commissioner Baker's past <br />year of service and willingness to serve as Planning Commissioners for the year 2000. <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES FROM PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING HELD ON <br />JANUARY 5. 1999 <br /> <br />Commissioner Sand moved, seconded by Commissioner Duchenes to approve the <br />January 5, 2000 minutes. The motion carried unanimously (5-0). <br /> <br />PLANNING CASE #00-08 - STATE OF MINNESOTA -1900 COUNTY ROAD I WEST- <br />SPECIAL USE PERMIT - PUBLIC HEARING <br /> <br />Chair Erickson confirmed that the Planning Case was announced in the J anuary26, 2000 <br />publication of the Bulletin and opened the public hearing at 7:36 p.m. <br /> <br />Ms. Randall explained that the applicant was requesting a Special Use Permit to allow for the <br />installation of a temporary materials training laboratory building at the Minnesota Department of <br />Transportation facility located at 1900 West County Road L <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />The applicant was requesting the temporary materials training laboratory building for 5 years or <br />less in order to construct a permanent facility on the site. They anticipate the permanent facility <br />to be constructed in approximately two years. The temporary materials training laboratory <br />building is proposed to be 24 by 60 feet (1,440 square feet) located in the rear of the lot (10 feet <br />
