.

.

e

e

4/14

Impact on Neighbor's:

The homes around the lake are situated in such a way that none of the newer homes
interferes with their neighbor's view oftheJake. The houses surrounding the
Halvorson's have all added rooms to enjoy the view as well.

The placement of this room on the rear of the house as opposed to either side also affords
the passerby on Old Highway 10, a view of the lake. Moving the room or deck to the
side of the house would have elongated this house irregularly masked the view from the
street.

No neighbor's view is interrupted by the room or deck.

Impact on Fisheries:

I am not an expert on fisheries. Nor will I pretend to have done any complex testing on
this subject. The "wet" area behind this house is not water! As you can see in the
attached, the area beyond the property line is overgrowth, dead, fallen trees, and extends
seventy-five feet to the waters edge.

Weare not building in this "zone". Our plan calls for a twenty-six foot set back from the
deck's southern most edge, and a twenty-five foot set back from the northern edge of the
room. This layout leaves nearly one hundred feet to the waters edge. We are also able to
cantilever the deck and room's floor joists by up to three feet. This will allow us to move
the footing's even further back from the lake.
