ARDEN HILLS PLANNING COMMISSION - APRIL 5, 2000

16

,
,

,

Councilmember Larson stated that a neighborhood meeting was held with regard to the Highway
10IHighway 96 overpass, at which many area residents were in attendance who indicated that e
access was not a big issue. He added that representatives from North Heights Church objected to
access as they hoped to preserve the land in question for additional parking.

Councilmember Larson stated the Town Hall meeting went well, and included a "ground-
breaking ceremony" by Mayor Probst. He added that there was a good turnout of local
organizations with booths and information for attendees. He noted that the number of people
who show up is disappointing at events like this, and a change in the format was being discussed
to incorporate small group discussion on various topics.

Ms. Randall stated there was some discussion with regard to holding the Town Hall Meeting in
connection with the Day in the Park Celebration which often has excellent attendance.

Councilmember Larson stated the 35W coalition meeting was a good meeting with good
presentations.

COMMISSION COMMENTS

There were no comments from the Commissioners.

ADJOURNMENT

Commissioner Galatowitsch moved, seconded by Commissioner Sand, to adjourn the meeting at e
11:03 p.m. The motion carried unanimously (5-0).

.
