<br />.- <br /> <br />Recommendations. The Planning Commission recommends approval of Planning Case <br />#00-16, Special Use Permit and Site Plan Review, subject to the following conditions: <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />1. The antennas and all mounts shall be painted to match the color of the water tower. <br />2. A lease agreement shall be maintained with the City of Arden Hills which details rent <br />payments and other specific requirements ofthe City. If ,at any time, the lease shall <br />terminate, the SUP shall be reviewed and the City may impose other restrictions or <br />conditions as warranted. <br />3. Sprint lease and Special Use Permit be modified and approved by both Sprint and the <br />City of Arden Hills to accommodate the relocation of the drive access and <br />landscaping. <br />4. No welding shall be done on the water tower tank. <br />5. The driveway leading from the existing drive to the equipment building should be a <br />bituminous to match the existing drive. <br />6. The equipment building should be constructed in similar material to the existing <br />buildings. <br />7. The landscaping include a row of arborvitae along the entire south property line. <br />8. The applicant relocates trees to be removed and relocated on the site if Sprint has not <br />completed this prior to the constriction of the drive. <br />9. Applicant will be responsible for snow removal along proposed drive. <br />10. The antenna's not interfere with 900mb fire sprinkler systems in the area. <br /> <br />Updates. Staff received a letter from Resistance Technology Inc. (Exhibit C) with <br />concerns about the antenna's affecting their testing equipment. Staff has forwarded the <br />letter to the applicant in hopes of a resolution before the City Council meeting. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Options: <br />1. Add a condition that the applicant pay for impact testing and any required RF or EM! <br />shielding needed to satisfY Resistance Technology, Inc. <br />2. Add a condition that the applicant not interfere with neighboring business testing <br />equipment. <br />3. Table to allow time for the applicant to resolve the issue and satisfY Resistance <br />Technology, Inc. <br />4. Deny request. <br /> <br />The lease agreements, as referred to under condition number 2 and 3, are covered under a <br />separate agenda item. <br /> <br />The applicant changed the plans just prior to the Planning Commission meeting. The <br />cables were going to be under ground, however; due to footings for the water tower, the <br />applicant wishes to have the cables above ground with a bridge over the cables. <br /> <br />. <br />
