The motion carried unanimously (6-0).

Chair Erickson welcomed the City's new Planner, Jennifer Chaput, who was in attendance at the
meeting.

PLANNING CASE #00-22 - FAIR ISAAC - 4285 LEXINGTON AVENUE - SPECIAL USE
PERMIT AMENDMENT - PUBLIC HEARING

Ms. Chaput explained that the applicant requests approval of an amendment to their Special Use
Permit (SUP) for an additional monument sign at the front of their building. The current sign
does not adequately mark the property on a private drive to the facility and, since the street is not
marked, there is insufficient signage to direct traffic to the facility.

The SUP on this property, approved in 1996, was originally intended for Control Data. The Fair
Isaac property is only a portion of the approved master plan. The overall plan allowed for
signage along Lexington Avenue at the same level as it existed in 1996, as stated in Planning
Case 96-05. This limits the property to one pylon sign. However, since this time, there has been
a change in businesses and the original parcel of land has been split up, allowing for additional
signage according to the current Sign Ordinance.

The area ofthe sign face of a monument sign must meet the minimum requirements of the
ordinance. A maximum of one free standing sign per frontage on a public street is allowed for a
business. One free standing sign is being proposed for this property. According to the current
lot lines, this property does not exceed sign ordinance requirements.
