<br />, <br /> <br />ARDEN HILLS PLANNING COMMISSION - MAY 3, 2000 <br /> <br />2 <br /> <br />, <br /> <br />A maximum of 100 square feet is permitted. The proposed sign is approximately 37 square feet <br />in size, not exceeding the maximum. e <br /> <br />A maximum height of 16 feet is permitted. The proposed sign is approximately 6 feet in height <br />(sign face), not exceeding the maximum. Illumination is proposed and permitted. Initial and <br />annual permits are required. <br /> <br />The proposed signage is compatible with the existing building and does not obscure any existing <br />signs. The base ofthe sign will be constructed of brick materials. It will be located along the <br />private drive into the business. The island is set back enough from the private drive that it should <br />not hinder views for traffic flow. <br /> <br />Ms. Chaput stated that Staff recommends approval of Planning Case 00-22, amendment to the <br />Special Use Permit for Fair Isaac, with two conditions. Ifthe Planning Commission makes a <br />recommendation on this Planning Case, it would be heard at the Tuesday, May 30, 2000, regular <br />City Council Meeting. <br /> <br />Chair Erickson opened and closed the public hearing at 7:36 p.m. <br /> <br />Chair Erickson asked what materials would be used to construct the sign. Dick Opseth , a <br />representative of Fair Isaac, stated the sign would be constructed from the same materials as the <br />new building, and is consistent with other signage on the campus. <br /> <br />Chair Erickson asked whether this sign would be similar to the company's sign on Lexington ... <br />Avenue. Mr. Opseth stated that the Lexington sign is a metal sign, while the proposed sign will ., <br />be an illuminated box sign. <br /> <br />Commissioner Baker moved, seconded by Commissioner Sand, to recommend approval <br />of Planning Case #00-22, amendment to the Special Use Permit for Fair Isaac, <br />conditioned on: <br /> <br />1. Compliance with the freestanding sign requirements ofthe sign ordinance so that <br />the sign not exceed a maximum of 100 square feet in area and 16 feet in height. <br />2.
