<br />. <br /> <br />ARDEN HILLS PLANNING COMMISSION - MAY 3, 2000 <br /> <br />10 <br /> <br />Commissioner Sand stated that the condition pertaining to Rice Creek Watershed District e <br />approval should be changed. Chair Erickson stated this is the first time he has heard an objection <br />to that condition. <br /> <br />Commissioner Sand asked why cafeteria use must be restricted to employees only. <br />Commissioner Sand stated the condition should be changed to reflect that the cafeteria is open to <br />employees and authorized visitors. <br /> <br />Chair Erickson closed the public hearing at 9: 10 p.m. <br /> <br />Commissioner Sand moved, seconded by Commissioner Baker to recommend approval <br />of Planning Case #00-25, Site Plan Review, to allow for the construction ofa 5,000 <br />square foot cafeteria addition, conditioned on: <br /> <br />1. The use of the cafeteria be restricted to employees and authorized visitors only <br />and not be open to the public. <br />2. The required parking spaces shown as proof of parking be provided if the use of <br />the cafeteria changes. <br />3. Rice Creek Watershed District approval must be provided if required by the <br />district. <br />4. Lighting meet the requirements in the Zoning Ordinance Section V, E, 3, a, b, c, <br />andd. <br /> <br />The motion earned unanimously (6-0). <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />This Planning Case will be reviewed at the Tuesday, My 30, 2000, regular City Council meeting. <br /> <br />COUNCIL REPORT <br /> <br />Councilmember Larson reviewed the City Council's last meeting, at which four Planning Cases <br />were discussed. He stated the Council approved the request from Aerial Communications for an <br />antenna on the Red Fox Road water tower. He added an additional condition, requiring impact <br />and interference testing by Aerial, was the result of a letter received by City staff from a <br />neighboring business. <br /> <br />Councilmember Larson stated the Planned Unit Development amendment for 1887 Gateway <br />Boulevard was approved. <br /> <br />Councilmember Larson stated the Special Use Permit amendment for Mounds View High School <br />was approved. He added the applicant met the Commission's parking condition and found an <br />additional 5 parking spaces. He noted the neighborhood complaints with regard to exterior <br />lighting were discussed, and the applicant agreed to fix the lighting issues and move the timers <br />inside the school. <br /> <br />Councilmember Larson stated the City agreed to share in the cost of a new water main for the <br />school from Gramsie Road at a total of$20-30,000. <br /> <br />. <br />
