Chair Erickson asked whether the City's proposed facility will be similar.
Councilmember Larson stated that plans for the new facility are not specific.

Commissioner Baker stated the County facility has outdoor storage of equipment, damaged
vehicles and other items which are nicely screened by high berms.

Commissioner Sand asked whether the construction of the City Hall building would begin within
the next month. Councilmember Larson stated he would be hesitant to make predictions, but he
believes it will be sometime this summer.

Chair Erickson asked whether the construction project was rebid. Councilmember Larson stated
it will be going out for bid soon.

Commissioner Sand asked whether construction would begin soon in Tony Schmidt Park.
Councilmember Larson stated he was unaware of construction dates for that park.

Commissioner Baker asked for an update with regard to the Highway 96/Highway 10"
interchange. Councilmember Larson stated the Mayor and City Administrator met with Ramsey
County to review initial proposals and look at alternatives. He added that neighbors at that
intersection have expressed an interest in making Highway 96 a local road with no exits or
entrances to 35W.

Commissioner Baker stated that if the intersection of Highway 10 and Highway 694 were
eliminated, Highway 10 itself might be eliminated. He noted that the Highway 694/35W
interchange's south and east loops, which would be utilized if Highway 10 were eliminated, are
not busy loops.

Commissioner Baker asked for an update with regard to rail corridor discussions.
Councilmember Larson stated there had been no further discussions.

ADJOURNMENT

Commissioner Sand moved, seconded by Commissioner Baker, to adjourn the meeting at 9:30
p.m. The motion carried unanimously (6-0).
