<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />, <br /> <br />CITY OF ARDEN HILLS <br /> <br />MEMORANDUM <br /> <br />DATE: May 24, 2000 <br /> <br />TO: Joe Lynch, City Administrator <br /> <br />FROM: Dwayne Stafford, Public Works Director )S <br /> <br />SUBJECT: New City Maintenance Facility <br /> <br />Backl!round <br />The Arden Hills City Council at its June 12, 1999, meeting authorized TKPA, Engineers, <br />Architects, & Planners, to provide a Maintenance Facility, Space Needs Study to the City <br />at a cost not to exceed $8500, This study was received and reviewed with Council, Staff <br />and TKPA Engineer, Dean Johnson at their March 20, 2000, Council Work Session, <br /> <br />That study was based on a stand-alone facility totaling 30,000 square feet on 6 \I, acres, <br />with an estimated cost of$3.6 million, This figure included $1 million for site <br />development, <br /> <br />Recommendation <br /> <br />Staff recommends Council officially accept the City of Arden Hills Maintenance Facility <br />Space Needs Study provided by TKPA. Staff can then continue discussions with <br />Ramsey County on the possibility of a joint Maintenance Facility, using the Space Needs <br />Study as a guideline, <br />
