">\"
~,i )

Attention: City Council

Re: Planning Case 000-11
Zoning Ordinance Amendments

Dear Members of the Council,

My name is Robert Kurtz and I reside at 1880 Noble Road. I am strongly in favor
of the changes to the zoning ordiflance proposed by the city planner, Jennifer
Chaput.

I have made several telephone calls of complaint to the city regarding the
residence at 1898 Noble Road. It appears that (depending on the time-ef year)
there are ten to twelve students living in this house. There are an equal number
of cars in the driveway depending on the time of day. The garage is apparently
not being used for parking. Some cars were initially being parked on the lawn.
Subsequently the owner removed trees to allowwidening of the existing driveway
into what is basically a parking lot.

I doubt that the city ordinances ever anticipated this type of situation. This is
clearly a residential neighborhood and as such the use of a single family dwelling
as a college "rooming house" is not acceptable to me and the neighbors I have
talked to.

I am aware that there are other similar housing conversions that have taken
place in the city. I urge you to approve the proposed changes to the city zoning'
ordinance to solve these problems and prevent future ones.

Thank you for your cqnsideration.

Sine rely,

Robert C.
