<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />CITY OF ARDEN HILLS <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE RELATING TO THE COLLECTION OF GARBAGE AND REFUSE. <br /> <br />The Arden Hills City Council hereby ordains that Chapter 11, Article II, Section 11-15 is <br />added to the Municipal Code ofthe City of Arden Hills and Chapter 11, Article II, Section 11- <br />18 of the Arden Hills Municipal Code is amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />Section 11-15. PUlJlose. The City has determined that regulation of garbage and refuse collectors <br />and haulers is necessary in order to protect the health, safety, and welfare of the residents of Arden <br />Hills by reducing: <br /> <br /> a. <br /> b. <br />e c. <br /> d. <br /> e. <br /> <br />The frequency of the unsightliness of curb side trash containers; <br /> <br />Litter caused by the effects of weather on the contents of curb side trash containers; <br /> <br />Wear and tear on City streets due to heavy truck traffic; <br /> <br />The noise pollution associated with the process of collecting garbage and refuse; and <br /> <br />Interference with the City's road maintenance activities caused by the presence of <br />curb side trash containers. <br /> <br />Section 11-18. Frequencv. The collection of garbage and otherrefuse shall be made at least once <br />each week by a duly licensed collector. In regard to the collection of household generated garbage <br />and refuse, the City shall be divided into two zones. Zone I is that portion of the City located south <br />of Interstate 694. Zone 2 is that portion of the City located north of Interstate 694. Licensed <br />residential collectors shall arrange customer collection routes and schedules so that collection occurs <br />in Zone I on Tuesday of each week and in Zone 2 on Wednesday of each week unless the designated <br />collection date is a holiday in which event collection may occur on the day following the holiday. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />1 <br />
