TRANSPORTATION REVOLVING LOAN FUND (TRLF) <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />Special Solicitation <br />Announcement <br /> <br />Please be advised that the Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnlDOT) is <br />soliciting candidate projects for funding through the Transportation Revolving Loan Fund <br />(TRLF). The deadline for submitting applications is Friday, September 15, 2000. <br /> <br />F or those unfamiliar with the TRLF program, the TRLF operates much like a commercial <br />bank, providing low-interest loans and other types of financial assistance on a competitive <br />basis to governmental entities for eligible transportation projects. <br /> <br />The 2080 Legislature appropriated $15 million to the TRLF to be used for highway <br />projects such as road and bridge construction, right-of-way acquisition, certain utility <br />work necessitated by highway reconstruction, etc. . . . <br /> <br />Candidate projects must be eligible under Federal Title 23 to apply for a loan. Federal <br />Title 23 projects are those transportation projects that are eligible to receive federal funds <br />under one of the existing programs administered by the Federal Highway Administration. <br /> <br />In addition, projects which get selected will be required to follow all MnlDOT State and <br />Federal Aid project development requirements, <br /> <br />If you are interested in applying for a loan, please contact the applicable TRLF <br />Coordinator listed on the reverse side of this sheet. <br /> <br />The schedule for selecting candidate projects will be as follows: <br /> <br />July 2000 - Solicitation announcement distributed and published <br />Aug.-Sept. 15, 2000 - Applicants prepare and submit applications to TRLF Coordinators <br />Sept. 15. _ Nov. 17, 2000 - District/ATPs approve/prioritize applications and submit to Mn/DOT <br />Nov. 17 - Dec. 2000 - MnlDOT evaluates applications and selects projects <br />Jan..Dec. 2001 _ Public Facilities Authority approves loans and enters into loan <br />agreements <br /> <br /> <br />Please also see the enclosed survey.
