f'J./s

construct one ground structure to house all future applicants. This could be completed by
directing staffto come up with an overall landscape plan and implement it. The City
would fund the landscaping plan for the site and maintain it. This could be accomplished
in the year 2000 since there has been an increase in revenue from additional antenna
leases that were not planned for in the year 2000.

e

The Femwood site would be best managed with a single structure to house all future
necessary ground units, since there is eurrently only one onsite. The City would have to
build the ground unit and then add language into the lease so that space is being leased on
both the tower and within the City's ground structure for any additional antennas. This
site has not been in high demand for antenna companies. The City's ground structure
should be construeted following the adoption of the amendments to the ordinance and
have an engineer determine what the capacity of a ground structure for the site should or
could be at that time.

Proposed Zoning Ordinanee Amendment (Antennas)
The following is the section of the zoning code on antennas, as written eurrently. Any
proposed additions are made in CAPITAL LETTERS and proposed removals are
strick€n, as per discussions with the Planning Commission during the past two meetings.

Seetion VI (I): Antennas, Satellite Dish Antennas and Towers.

L

Applicability. Special Use Permit Required. Antennas, satellite dish antennas and towers are allowed only as
special accessory uses.
