The Council has directed that a water management plan
be completed. The selected engineering firm will be retained for the compilation of the water
management plan, subject to satisfactory performance at each phase of the project.

Arden Hills is a community of approximately 9,700 residents located in Ramsey County. The
city is characterized by extensive open space, rolling terrain and water bodies. The city is largely
residential with a significant commercial/industrial base consisting of many corporate
headquarters. The City is looking for a Minnesota-based firm that is familiar with the rules and
regulations of the Rice Creek Watershed District. The firm should have successfully completed
a Storm Water Management Plan in a similar sized community within the State of Minnesota in
e the last two years.

The City Council will select three to five firms, based on submitted qualifications to respond in
more detail to a request for proposals. The City Council anticipates the selection of a preferred
firm on or around December 11, 2000. Qualifications will be judged on their merit, design
capabilities, breadth of experience, and experience in water management. If you are interested
and qualified for the described project, please submit 15 copies of your statement of interest to
the City office by November 17, 2000.

LIST OF QUALIFICATIONS

.
