<br />e <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />ARDEN HILLS CITY COUNCIL - OCTOBER 30, 2000 <br /> <br /> <br />w <br /> <br />11 <br /> <br />I':''''''.'J <br />:~ <br /> <br />Mr. Lynch stated that a representative of the Government Services Administration is interested in <br />meeting with the Council as soon as possible to discuss the TCAAP redevelopment and further <br />study or potential reuse of the property. <br /> <br />Mr. Lynch stated it would be wise to wait until after the election. He added the issue could be <br />discussed at a Work session, or a separate mecting could be scheduled. He noted the Pavement <br />Managcment Plan (PMP) would be discusscd at the next Worksession. <br /> <br />Mayor Probst stated a discussion could take place at the November worksession with regard to <br />developments at the TCAAP property, items which might arise, and how the Council wishes to <br />proceed prior to having a discussion with a representative of the Government Services <br />Administration. <br /> <br />Councilmember Aplikowski expressed her agreement, adding that the PMP should bc diseusscd <br />no later than January. <br /> <br />Mayor Probst stated that there are a broad range of items with regard to the Arsenal property <br />which need the Council's attention, including ways to handle confidentiality issues and how the <br />meetings are publicized, as well as the next phase of planning. <br /> <br />COUNCIL COMMENTS <br /> <br />Councilmemher Grant stated that two street lights wcrc being repaired on County Road E in <br />addition to reinforcement of the existing lights. He added the Council had discussed adoption of <br />a strcctlight standard, and he requested clarification. Mr. Lynch stated that it is staffs intention <br />to bring forward a standard. <br /> <br />Mayor Probst stated that streetlight standards will become an issue in COilllection with the <br />Highway 96 reconstruction project. He added decisions must be made on whether the treatments <br />used in Shoreview will carry through the project. <br /> <br />Councilmembcr Grant stated the Parks, Trails and Recreation Committcc met October 24 and <br />discussed futurc changes to the City's flower gardens. Councilmcmber Grant stated that the <br />City's entry signs were discussed at the Operations and Finance Committee meeting, and the two <br />groups might coordinate their efforts. <br /> <br />Mayor Probst stated that the Council had taken action several years ago to set aside funds for <br />permancnt plantings around the City. He added he would wish to review that issuc. <br /> <br />Councilmember Larson rcviewed thc recent Planning Commission meeting at which zoning code <br />ordinances amendments were reviewed. <br /> <br />Councilmcmber Larson stated the Lake Johanna Fire Department Pension Fund's Board of <br />Dircctors met last week and agrced to produce an actuarial report at thcir next meeting. He <br />added the Fire Board mects this week, noting he was surprised to see on their agenda a request <br />for funds from AlIiant Tech for the pension fund. He added this sccms premature. <br />
