Section 19-8 calls for the establishment of a compensation plan for the <br />next calendar year by resolution of the Council following adoption ofthe annual budget. <br /> <br />Discussion <br />The accompanying resolution and proposed pay plan documents excludes any 2001 <br />compensation plan amounts for bargaining unit employees. This is a result of labor negotiations <br />not yet completed between the City and the bargaining unit employees represented by LU.O.E. <br />Local No. 49. At the conclusion of these negotiations (which will result in a signed agreement), <br />staff intends to present the City Council with an amended 2001 Pay Plan for approval. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />For non-bargaining unit employees, the 2001 Pay Plan represents a 3.0% range move over the <br />adopted 2000 Pay Plan. In addition, the proposed increase in the City's contribution toward <br />monthly health and dental insurance premiums from $340.00 to $350.00 represents a 2.9% <br />increase over the 2000 maximum contribution rate. <br /> <br />Rccommcndation <br />Staff recommends that the Arden Hills City Council adopt Resolution No. 00-47 entitled, <br />"Resolution Identifying and Approving the 2001 Pay Plan," at their December 11, 2000 regular <br />meeting. <br /> <br />Enclosures <br /> <br />. <br />
