She stated the area would he crowded and it would not blend in with the rest .- <br />of the neighborhood. She believed the value of their homes would decrease. She asked if ., <br />they could look at a shared green space. <br /> <br />Jim Paulet, 1285 Wyncrest Court, stated he disagreed with applicants' comments <br />regarding not seeing the homes from the neighborhood. He stated he believed tile <br />neighbors would be able to see the homes from the neighborhood. He indicated this <br />development was not consistent with the neighborhood. He stated he believed this would <br />be setting a precedent if it were approved. <br /> <br />Carol Jacohson, 1295 Wyncrest, stated the applicants created any hardship because they <br />had not saved any part of their properties for an access in the future. She stated Mr. <br />Goserud had the option to purchase an easement from her property for ten years, but he <br />had failed to exercise his option. She also expressed concern ahout possible flooding of <br />her property if this area was developed. <br /> <br />JoAnn Pastorius, 1315 Wyncrest, stated when they had moved to their property, they <br />were not aware that this was land that could ever be developed. She expressed safety <br />concerns about this area being developed without having any sidewalks along Hamline <br />Avenue. She stated the neighbors had been extremely tolerant with respect to Mr. <br />Goserud's business. <br /> <br />Paul Trovedke, 1304 Hamline Road, stated when he had purchased the lot he had asked if <br />the lot behind him was subject to division, and he was informed it was not. He stated that <br />was why had had purchased the property. He expressed concern about possible flooding. <br />He stated this development was not reasonable and would not fit within the existing <br />neighborhood. He believed his property would be devalued and he indicated he would he <br />impacted hy this development. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Kevin Nilas, 1277 Wyncrest Court, stated he believed the applicants had made personal <br />choices regarding their properties and that they had intentionally chosen to become land <br />locked. He stated they had not been forced by the City or the property owners to become <br />land locked. He indicated it disturbed him there was a husiness being run on the <br />property. He stated he was disturbed that these applicants were asking for further <br />variances. He indicated this development would be inconsistent with the rest of the <br />neighborhood. He encouraged the Commission to deny this variance. <br /> <br />Chris Paul, 1294 Amble, expressed concern with possible flooding if this area was <br />developed. <br /> <br />Diane Gihson, 1297 Wyncrest Court, stated she agreed with all of her neighbors, and she <br />did not believe this was a hardship case. <br /> <br />Mr. Aiken stated the City platted the lots, not Mr. Goserud or himself. He summarized <br />the historical development of this area for the Commission. He agreed there was a lot of .- <br />traffic on Hamline Avenue and agreed this was a problem.
