~

F3-:f1
1M

. 10.0 Recommendations.

Figure ID-I and the following details the recommended traffic control and lane
assignment plan for County Road E and Lexington Ave to accommodate existing
operational deficiencies and proposed development.

Roadway improvements required for acceptable traffic operations of existing conditions
during the p.m. peak hour include:

1. Re-designate the lane use for the west approach at the County Road E I
Lexington Ave intersection. This should include one exclusive left turn lane,
one shared thoughlleft turn lane and one shared through/right turn lane.
The exclusive left turn lane would include approximately 260 feet of
storage. This is the distance from the stop bar to the beginning of taper for
the center median.
Post a sign that would notify motorists of the desiguated lane use.
2. Modify the existing traffic signal at County Road E and Lexington Ave to
accommodate split phased operation.
The eastbound direction of County Road E would be designated as phase 4
and the westbound direction of County Road E would be designated as
phase 3.

. Roadway mitigation measure to restrict full access to be located at the intersection of
County Road E and Arden Plaza Entrance includes:

I. Extend the existing median back to the Arden Plaza Entrance intersection with
County Road E.
The median should taper to follow the existing stripping along County
Road E. This would allow for an exclusive left turn bay at both the
County Road E / Arden Plaza Entrance and County Road E / Lexington
Ave intersections east approach and west approach, respectively.

Again, implementing the median extension back to the Arden Plaza Entrance intersection
with County Road E, necessitates the existing conditions roadway improvement.

.

Walgreen's Traffic Impact Study
Draft Report

Recommendations
February 07, 200!

10-]
