Our group was charged with the following: <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. Idcntify the needs for the fumiturc and all related decorations in the new City Hall. <br />. Working with Architectural Alliance on the sclection of the carpet, window and wall <br />treatments, and art (if any), <br />. Should the same type offumiture be in the same functional areas? <br />. Should all administrative offices and common areas have the same look, feel and <br />related fumiturc? <br />. How to coordinate the move to the new City Hall, and tile disposition of any and all <br />of the furniture at the leased facility, Should the City begin moving files with records <br />in it before the movement of the administrative offices, or should those be reversed? <br />. Meet with Department heads and department areas to determine needs/desires in <br />offices, and common arcas. <br /> <br />The carpet, window and wall treatments had already been chosen as well as the wood for <br />the council chambers and front reception area. <br /> <br />Recommendation <br />The Furniture Committee, currently consisting of Receptionist Pam Sweeney; Michelle <br />Olson, Recreation Program Supervisor; and Joe Lynch, City Administrator recommcnd <br />the following: <br /> <br />The furniture budget for the new City Hall is set at $175,000. We recommend that the <br />city utilize $20,000 for Architectural Alliance's assistance with the furniture selcction, <br />bidding process, and follow up with the vendors during installation. The remaining <br />$155,000 would be utilized to purchase all fwuiture and art. This would outfit ten <br />offices, two conference rooms, council chambers, community room, and the lobby's <br />waiting area. We also feel that the appliances for the kitchen on the lower level should <br />be included within this budget. This would include a refrigerator and microwave. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />In regards to moving out of our current facility, the committee recommends that we <br />utilize a moving compmlY to move any files, file cabinets, supplies, and furniture to the <br />
