<br />or upon waters or lands of Ramsey County, including clearing, grading, <br />excavating, transporting and filling ofland. Land Disturbance Activity does not <br />mean: <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />(1) minor land disturbance activities such as home gardens and individuals <br />home landscaping, repairs and maintenance work; <br /> <br />(2) construction, installation and maintenance of electric, telephone, and cable <br />television utility lines or individual service connection to these utilities, <br />except where a minimum of 10,000 square feet ofland disturbance can be <br />anticipated; <br /> <br />(3) septic tank lines or drainage fields unless included in an overall plan for a <br />land disturbance activity relating to construction of a building to be served <br />by the septic tank system; <br /> <br />(4) tilling, planting or harvesting of agricultural, horticultural, or silvicultural <br />crops; <br /> <br />(5) preparation for single-family residences separately built, unless in <br />conjunction with multiple construction in subdivision development; <br /> <br />(6) <br /> <br />disturbed land areas for commercial or noncommercial uses of (less than <br />10,000 square feet) in size; <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />(7) installation of fence, sign, telephone, and electric poles and oilier kinds of <br />posts or poles; and <br /> <br />(8) emergency work to protect life, limb, or property and emergency repairs, <br />except if the land disturbing activity would have required an approved <br />erosion and sediment control plan except for the emergency, then the land <br />area disturbed shall be shaped and stabilized in accordance with the <br />requirement of the local plan-approving authority or the District when <br />applicable. <br /> <br />G. Ramsev County Erosion and Sediment Control Handbook or Handbook. "Ramsey <br />County Erosion and Sediment Control Handbook" or "Handbook" means the <br />handbook Adopted by the Ramsey County Soil and Water Conservation District <br />which contains the Erosion and Sediment Control Practice Specifications and <br />planning procedures to control soil erosion and sedimentation. <br /> <br />H. <br /> <br />Sediment. "Sediment" means solid mineral or organic material, that, in <br />suspension, is being transported, or has been moved from its original site by air, <br />water, gravity, or ice, and has been deposited at another location. <br /> <br />e <br />
