FROM: SUBJECT: Public Works Second Quarter Report Staff have responded to 42 after hour 'CaIl Outs' Staff have made 239 visits to resident homes and in the process traveled 780 miles, Hired two summer part time workers. Completed spring street sweeping of the entire City Lift Station #8, Ingerson Road & Hamliue A ve.North, was reconstructed Crack sealing completed Seal Coating of 26 streets was completed. Streets were swept clean by Staff. 24 mailboxes were repaired/replaced due to snowplow damage. 112 turf/curb areas were repaired due to snowplow damage. 100% staff participation in the City's 50th Anniversary Celebration. Repaired 5 Sewer Line breaks Repaired 4 Water Line breaks Street repairs due to winter damage are proceeding, 50 % of the work has been completed. Approximately 60 tons of asphalt has been used. Storm water culvert was extended under Thorn Drive. InstaIled new storm water catchbasin at the new City HaIl location, Booster station received a maintenance check-up. Removed fence from the new City Hall location. InstaIled new storm water catchbasin on Venus Avenue. InstaIled a safety video camera on the rear of Snowplow #110. The monitor is located in the cab. AIlows the driver greater vision to rear. Completed seasonal maintenance on all 14 Lift Stations. Staff attended seminars/ workshops on; confined space, water, sewer, and maintenance of Public Works vehicles.
